This has to be one of the best versions of Highland Cathedral. It was played with
Pride and you can feel the passion Passion. I took part in it and it still gives me goosebumps.

R.I.P Grandpa John McLorn from Clan of Lorn. You were but a farmer, a ranch hand. For ever loving your Scottish back ground and i was yet just a kid living in a fast paced world. Your stories of Scotland heard by my young def ears were not forgotten but engraved in my heart. I will forever tell of your stories to my children and theirs to come. Your hands once worked the fields of Scotland as a young lad until you were brought to the land of the free. We love and miss you very much John Mclorn

There is a land far from this distant shore
Where heather grows and Highland eagles soar
There is a land that will live ever more
Deep in my heart, my Bonnie Scotland

Though I serve so far away
I still see your streams, cities and dreams
I can’t wait until the day
When I’ll come home once more to my Bonnie Scotland

And so Lord keep me from the harm of war
Through all its dangers and the battle’s roar
Keep me safe until I’m home once more
Home to my own in Bonnie Scotland

I was heard this Hymn 20 years ago at a Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City. It was performed by the Salt Lake Scots Pipe Band. I have returned every year since for the annualm blessing of the Tartans and this song. Proud to be a Scotsman.
